SARASWATI PUJA

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a grand Saraswati Puja, in which the goddess of learning and music was worshipped. Devotees, students and other members of the community participated in the occasion in large numbers and everyone present showed devotion in the Puja. The soul was connected through prayers, bhajans and other related practices, which made the atmosphere spiritually charged.

BIJAYA SAMMILANI

  • Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organised a vibrant Bijaya Sammilani.
  • We Celebrated the victory of Goddess Durga with a vibrant Bijaya Sammilani.
  • Traditional Bengali dances and various cultural programmes were performed by all the children.
  • A prize distribution ceremony was held for Durga Puja competition winners.
  • The entire community was united in joy and cultural pride.
  • We concluded the program with a community feast with traditional Bengali cuisine.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a blood donation camp, which received a great response from the society. Officially launched by a prominent personality from the area, the camp focused on the role of blood donation. Blood samples were collected by medical officers from a major teaching hospital, and donors were screened and warned about the process in advance.

COVID 19 RELIEF

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society has launched a COVID-19 relief campaign to support vulnerable groups. The product differentiation programme was designed for the delivery of critical items, including face masks, hand sanitizers and food hampers, to the neediest hospitals, such as the elderly, disabled and low-income groups.

CLOTH DISTRIBUTION

The recent cloth distribution drive organized by the Bidyadharpur Uttarayan Welfare Society was successful in its mission to provide clothes and blankets to people in need. The preparations, as well as the programme itself, were well received. The clothes were selected with great care and hygiene, and the manner in which they were distributed to the members of the society was organized to respect the dignity of the users.

STUDY MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a study material distribution program to help students of Bidyadharpur School who come from financially low-income families. The aim was to provide educational needs such as textbooks, notebooks and stationery to the students so that learners have the necessary tools. High-quality worksheets were provided free of cost to the volunteers to categorize them according to the needs and abilities of the students and set up a pleasant distribution area.

TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME

The tree plantation program of Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society was a social program to make the community members, students and local dignitaries aware of tree conservation. It provided more information about trees and reforestation, where the participants actively planted saplings in a particular area.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Considering the problem of the starving population, the Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a food distribution program in which the volunteers of the society donated some food items to low-income families. This program is focused on the provision of food packets that meet the needs of the targeted people. The volunteers managing the interaction were courteous towards the recipients and the program was not just a food distribution program but a joyful sharing done in the spirit of shared brotherhood.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day was observed by Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society by carrying out several programs to create awareness on protection of environment. Organized as a series of seminars, skill building exercises, and a tree plantation drive, the programme comprised lectures on environmental issues across the world, and workshops on practices that will help individuals lead an environment friendly life.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with honour and respect byBidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society at bidyadharpur High School. During the programme, students expressed great respect towards teachers by delivering speeches and singing/comedy performances. Teachers received tokens of love from their students in the form of cards, gifts and flowers in honour of their Gurus. A prize distribution programme was specially organized to honour the most dedicated and hardworking teachers.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society for Independence Day celebration, together with cultural show, overflowed with patriotic feeling. The day started early with the flag hoisting ceremony and singing the national anthem with greater emphasis on patriotism, the students also presented a cultural program comprising of songs, dances and drama on patriotism that they had prepared in advance. A guest historian introduced the Indian struggle for independence and the Indians who were ready to lay down their lives for it.

NETAJI BIRTH DAY CELEBRATION

On the occasion of Netaji jawahar lal nehru’s birth anniversary, Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized an event to pay tribute to this great freedom fighter. The event included cultural activities like flag hoisting followed by singing of national tunes by students, Nyabingi, poetry and drama. Inviting a guest historian to deliver a lecture gave people an insight into Netaji’s life history and his plans and dreams for the future of India.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society also celebrated Republic Day with much fanfare, with the theme based on India’s struggle to attain sovereignty. The day began with flag hoisting and students sang patriotic songs and danced in support of the day’s theme of national pride, and also performed talent shows in the form of drama.

UTTARAN 5TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society celebrated its 5th year by organizing a rousing event showcasing its experiences and the purpose for which it was formed- ‘social welfare’. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by various cultural programmes like traditional dances, songs and dramas depicting the culture of the community and also a guest speaker delivered a speech addressing the society and the profession of social work.

TREE PLANTATION & SAPLING DISTRIBUTION

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a tree plantation and sapling distribution event in which the entire community members, volunteers and local authorities actively participated in promoting environmental conservation. The event included an informative session on the benefits of afforestation followed by a tree plantation drive in the designated areas. Saplings of native tree species were distributed to all the participants along with care instructions.

MID-DAY MEAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION

The midday meal distribution program run by Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society was aimed at providing nutritious meals to underprivileged children. Our program did a great job of ensuring that the meals met the nutritional requirements of the children and were balanced. The distribution took place in easily accessible community locations, making the children feel completely at home.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

The Children’s Day celebration organized by the Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society was a beautiful event that included fun games, performances and activities. With exciting activities suited to the interests of the children, the day was perfectly planned to provide the children with happy, lasting memories. Entertaining art, music and dance performances added to the celebration, and gifts and sweets were also given to help the children feel happy and appreciated.

RABINDRA NAJRUL SANDHYA

In honour of the immortal works of Rabindranath Tagore, our Society organized an enchanting Rabindra Nazrul Sandhya. Soulful performances of Tagore’s songs and soulful recitations of his poems throughout the evening left the audience completely spellbound. In an atmosphere of peace and prosperity, the melodious blend of music and traditional Bengali instruments also paid tribute to Tagore’s literary and musical creativity.

RAKHI BANDHAN UTSAV

With gaiety and traditional customs, the Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society celebrated the Rakhi Bandhan festival with great pomp and show. Symbolizing the pious relationship between brother and sister, colourful Rakhis were made on occasion and tied with sincere greetings and best wishes. To promote the feeling of togetherness and happiness, participants exchanged gifts and expressed gratitude besides sharing traditional sweets.

PICNIC

Our society treated members to a lovely community picnic. The occasion was marked by an exciting bus ride through a beautiful park where attendees enjoyed age-appropriate activities and tasty snacks. We strengthened community ties in a memorable way through games, treasure hunts and a gathering by the fire that fostered laughter and friendships.

VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI CELEBRATION

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society honored the legacy of Swami Vivekananda with an engaging Vivekananda Jayanti celebration. The event included a flag hoisting ceremony and informative presentations on Vivekananda’s teachings. All the cultural performances highlighted India’s rich heritage and the participants took an oath to uphold Vivekananda’s ideals, making a commitment to make a positive impact on their entire lives and society.

KHUJI FIRI RATAN SAMRITI PURASKAR

The Khuji Phiri Ratan Smriti Puraskar was awarded by our Society to honour exceptional teachers for their commitment and contribution to the field of education. The event included a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, motivational talks about the value of education and the official award presentation. The honour highlighted the critical role of teachers in influencing the next generation as well as their steadfast dedication to the academic achievement of their pupils.

UTTARAN RATAN SAMMAN

Uttaran Ratna Samman was given to exceptional social workers and environmentalists for their contribution to society. The event started with a welcome address, followed by inspirational speeches and a presentation of citations to all the members highlighting the achievements of the awardees. The importance of community service and environmental protection was also celebrated through plays, dances and songs and projects undertaken by the awardees were showcased.

MAGAZINE debut programme

With the release of its own magazine, Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society celebrated a momentous occasion and began a new chapter in the history of this organization. This magazine provides a platform to showcase the selfless work of volunteers involved in various humanitarian and social concerns.

HARIPAL TARAKESWAR TOUR

An unforgettable trip to the iconic Tarakeswar Temple in Haripal, West Bengal, was organized by the Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society. The trip perfectly blended the friendship, spiritual commitment and cultural exploration of the participants. The trip also had a tremendous impact on all participants, including praying at the sacred temple, exploring the local lifestyle through food and culture, and being completely immersed in the rich spiritual heritage of Haripal.

SCIENCE IN HAND PROGRAMME

An engaging “Science in Hands” programme launched by Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society fuelled children’s curiosity and love for science. Fascinating workshops, practical experiments and interactive exhibits on robots, biotechnology and astronomy were all part of the programme. Youngsters also demonstrated their scientific inventions, showcasing their knowledge and inventiveness and encouraging a deeper understanding of science through real-world applications.

ENVIRONMENTAL DAY CELEBRATION

With a vibrant event aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental conservation, Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society celebrated Environment Day in a very environmentally friendly way. A symbolic tree plantation drive, educational sessions on environmental issues and community participation activities were all part of the event.

UTTARAN FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

The Society celebrated its Uttaran Foundation Day in style by placing particular emphasis on education and student empowerment. Traditional flag-hoisting ceremonies, motivational speeches and a display of the organization’s educational achievements were all part of the celebration.

BASANTA UTSAV CELEBRATION

The Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a lively Basant Utsav, which beautifully marked the arrival of spring with traditional dances, beautiful music and delicious cuisine. The celebration showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region while also instilling a great deal of enthusiasm and a sense of renewal in all those present.

UTTARAN FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION WITH ORPHONAGE

The Society organized a heart-warming Uttarayan Foundation Day celebration at the “Anand Niketan Old Age Home” in Barrackpore with a focus on inter-generational bonding. The day included interactions between orphaned children and elderly residents, distribution of study material and nutritious lunch for all participants.

PUJA FESTIVAL

Bidyadharpur Uttaran Welfare Society organized a Puja festival at Anand Niketan Old Age Home with a special event that encouraged community service and help to those in need. Distribution of new clothes, friendly interactions, and promotion of ideals like unity and sharing made the event extremely enjoyable for both the volunteers and the recipients.
